What is Tempo Integral, the full-day program at Palas Atena?
While the family works, your child keeps learning. Tempo Integral, the full-day program, turns the afternoon into a structured journey of academic, athletic, artistic and emotional development, with teachers specialized in each activity and academic support every day.
It is not simply somewhere to spend the afternoon: it is the school’s academic project carried on, in a safe and stimulating place, supervised by a team qualified for each age group. It serves Educação Infantil through 7th grade, and has run since 2012.
It is coordinated by Jhony Abreu, Academic Coordinator for Tempo Integral and Special Projects. Alongside the activities led by teachers trained in each field, the program builds communication and hands-on learning through public speaking, writing, cooking and gardening.
Why Tempo Integral
What the school guarantees in your child’s afternoon
Teachers specialized in each activity
Judo, ballet, robotics, music, chess and the other activities are led by professionals trained specifically in each field. They are not aides, they are specialist educators.
Daily academic support
Extra support in Portuguese and math, with direct help on homework, every day of the week.
A balanced, healthy routine
Meals, hygiene and rest are part of the routine, which is what keeps children well and ready for the afternoon.
Safety, and peace of mind for the family
Students stay on school grounds, supervised throughout, from the start of the period to the end. No transport, no third parties.
Whole development, not just filling the hours
Every block of the afternoon has a purpose: cognitive, motor, social-emotional or artistic. The day is reviewed before dismissal.
The afternoon routine
